Individual therapy

The New Beginnings Centre can help you with a wide range of psychological challenges. See our home page for a list of issues that we address.

Therapy sessions are provided in online format via a Zoom Meeting. The initial session usually takes the form of an assessment to determine what challenges you are facing and what support you need. We will also explore the factors that influence your functioning and coping. We will then help you to set goals for change and start the treatment. Sessions usually take 50 to 60 minutes. The number of sessions you will need will depend on the nature of your challenges. Short term therapy usually takes up to 6 sessions, moderate term therapy could be up to 16 sessions. Long-term therapy can take a year or longer. You are welcome to start with one session and then decide whether it will be good timing to continue with treatment. Contact us if you wish to book an Individual Therapy appointment.

Workshops

Workshops are usually once off psycho education sessions (half day or full day). Workshops create the opportunity to connect with people who have similar challenges. The workshops help attendees to get a better understanding of specific issues, e.g. birth trauma, depression or anxiety. You will also get ways to start to address challenges.

Fees

Payment for psychological input is to be made by cash, cheque or internet banking at the conclusion of each session. The fees depend on the nature of the service:
